Bernal Heights Exterior Refresh
“Bright Refresh” was the homeowner’s goal for the exterior of this San Francisco home in Bernal Heights
Before
The homeowner was anxious to “get rid of” the yellow brick and create a cohesive look for the facade. And with a new roof going on the home, we also decided to remove the tile roofing on the bay windows. While the clay tiles offered great personality, they weren’t really in keeping with the style of the home.
After
The new roofing on the bay windows added a bit of modernization to the exterior. Then, painting the facade, including the brick, all one color provided a cohesive color story. Using a high contrast trim color allowed us to highlight some unique features of the home such as the “eyebrow” brick-work over the garage and front entry as well as the beautiful muntins in the upstairs windows.
And to match the Bernal Heights vibe, we added a fun color to the front door.
