One of My Favorite Events

I love the annual San Francisco Decorators Showcase! And this year was a good one! Check out the pics below.

Every year, they take a home, usually in the Pacific Heights, or neighboring neighborhood, and each room is designed by a different designer. The results are generally fantastic! It is an annual, month-long, fundraising event with tickets at $40 and is open to the public. It is open through May 27, 2019, in case you are interested in going.

This year the home, The Petit Trianon, is a grand dame of a home that is modeled after Marie Antoinette's The Trianon. While it is a smaller version of the original, it is an enormous home (18,000 sq. ft.) chock full of amazingly designed rooms. You may not like all of the designs but, you can’t deny the creativity, not to mention the work, that has gone into each space. Some rooms were more traditionally-styled with others being more modern. Overall, there is something for everyone.

I hope you enjoy these photos. If you can, go see it in person. Plus you would be supporting a nice cause that benefits the financial aid program of San Francisco University High School.

In case the details in the main room were too intricate, the smaller scale blue room is a lapis-colored lounge space that is more sedate, and yet electric, at the same time.

Dina Bandman’s ultra-feminine master bedroom was a highlight. The hand-made flowers continue on up on to the ceiling. And the gorgeous marble fireplace is actually painted—but, you would never know!
